Creativity in all its forms is a healing and transformational tool for all

“Mother Earth” by Masha

In my therapy practice I use Therapeutic Art, Sandplay Therapy, Sound Healing, Metaphor work and other forms of creativity, incorporating these as appropriate into the client sessions. There is no requirement to be “artistic” – as children we are all creative and imaginative, but many of us are discouraged from expressing our creativity by the school system and sometimes by the family. You can re-discover and re-ignite your creativity at any age or stage of your life.

Creative Approaches for Professionals

“Waterfalls” by Masha

I teach courses for health and care professionals on Integrative Sandplay, Metaphors of Movement, and other workshops incorporating creative approaches into their work. These latter could include the essentials of using arts / crafts, music and sound, creative writing and sandplay.

My Creative Journey

Leaf Mandala

I have studied a range of creative therapeutic approaches with the Pesso Boyden Institute (Pesso Boyden System Psychomotor), Association for Sandplay Therapy (Jungian sandplay) Association of Integrative Sandplay Therapy (sandplay, therapeutic art), Stockport College (creative therapy), Academy of Play and Child Psychotherapy (therapeutic play), Philip Davis and Christine Sutton (picture tapping technique),  College of Sound Healing (sound therapy), Richard Shilling (land art), James Lawley and Penny Tompkins (clean language and symbolic modelling), Andrew Austin (Metaphors of Movement). Outside of the therapy world, I am currently delighting in painting with water-based oils with Laurance Worrall, and have loved creating pebble mosaics with David James of Olicana Mosaics.
